Carving an inscription at the FDR Memorial The <a href="http://mallhistory.org/items/show/507">artist</a> in this photograph is carving one of the many inscriptions found in the <a href="http://mallhistory.org/items/show/27">Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial</a>. Calligrapher and stone carver John Benson, designed the layout and typeface of the inscriptions.
